You know the feeling
Staying feels safe. But it's quietly wearing you down.
You've been dreaming about this for a while now — a year, three, longer. You Google. You bookmark. You tell yourself you'll figure it out eventually. Staying stuck doesn't feel like a decision. It feels like just... life. But every day you don't take the next step is a choice to keep living the familiar version, instead of the the life you actually want.
The dream doesn't get louder the longer you wait. It just gets quieter — and you get better at ignoring it.

Meet Your Guide
Hola! I'm Laura.
In 2022, I decided to finally make my dreams of living abroad a reality and moved to Mexico. Now, I help others do the same.
Some fun facts about me:
- I spent my first year in Mexico as a single lady (cue Queen Beyonce). 1 year after moving to Mexico, I met the love of my life (Ricardo) while out dancing bachata with my girlfriends for my 40th birthday!
- During my 4+ years in Mexico, I’ve lived in San Miguel de Allende, Merida, Valladolid, and Playa del Carmen. Ricardo and I currently live in his hometown in the middle of Mexico.
- In my free time, you’ll find me traveling! In Mexico, I’ve traveled across 10 Mexican states, 45 towns/cities, and counting! Before Mexico, I spent 8 weeks backpacking around Thailand and Laos.
- When I moved to Mexico, it wasn’t my first time living abroad - I spent 2 semesters abroad during university (in Ghana & Hungary).
- If I had to narrow down what I love most about living in Mexico, it's that everything feels more alive here - the food, the music, the dancing, the streets, the people, the traditions, the pace….life is in full color here
- In my previous life, I led multi-million dollar grants to research the most effective education strategies. Now, I use my background to create impactful, evidence-based programming on moving to and living in Mexico.
- I have a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh.
